Edit Module Preferences
Preferences are organized by modules, displayed in the pane on the left of the window. In addition, with a given module, preferences are further organized by category.
Options at the top of the Preferences window let you indicate whether you want to set preferences for the Repair Center, for yourself, or for another user. The ability to set preferences for the Repair Center and another user will only show if you are a member of an access group with permission to make these changes.
The Category and Search prompts at the top of the Preferences window help you locate particular preferences. Opening the Category field shows all the categories for the selected module. Select a category to have only the preferences corresponding to that category display.
The Search prompt provides a valuable shortcut for finding specific preferences. You can conduct searches within a given module or category, or run the search against All Modules. You do not need to use the % wildcard character, as the tool returns all records in which the search criteria appears, whether it is at the beginning of the field or not.

The Preferences window appears with your new setting highlighted for ease of identification.
User Preference settings always take precedence over settings made for the Repair Center. If you have defined a User Preference, changes made to the corresponding preference for the Repair Center do not affect the user.
This ensures that your personal preferences remain in effect when someone changes the Repair Center setting. If you notice that a Repair Center change has not impacted the system as expected, check the User setting to see if an alternate custom setting has been made.
